Need a Alternative to MirC Ctrollers

Received the following response from your staff when trying to order a couple of MirC controllers;

Dear Customer

A hardware change issued by Lantronix has created an incompatibility issue with our existing firmware.  This change affects all Web-I communications modules and devices, including MirX and MirC Ethernet mirror devices.  Our solution could take several weeks to update. We have elected to cancel your order and notify you when the item becomes available again on our website.

We regret any inconvenience they may have caused.

Question - I need to be able to trigger a simple relay contact closure for a driveway sensor device which is seperated from my alarm panel. I will be installing fiber optics for a LAN connection to the panel. I had planned to use the two contact MirC's to do this for my two sensors. Is there a alternative way or product that I can get from you to do the same thing ?

Thanks

Hi Joe,

Would you be willing to assign static IP addresses to the input transmitter board and relay output board?

How many contacts do you need to replicate over the MirC devices?  1, 2, 4, or 8?

I have an alternative solution but it does require that the devices have Static IP addresses assigned to them.  These static IP addresses should be outside the DHCP range of the network router.

Travis,

- Yes, I have no problem at all assigning a static IP to them

- My driveway sensors can detect traffic in both directions so thats two contacts per sensor and I have two sensors (2 driveways). So... I need four total at the transmit end and four total at the receive end. The receive end will be where the alarm panel interface is and it's inputs are NO or NC.

Let me know...thx

Hi,

Go ahead and order the folowing components:

4 channel input ethernet Push Notification board: https://store.ncd.io/product/4-channel-push-notification-contact-closure...

4 relay output receiver board(When ordering select the standard Lantronix Ethernet module option): https://store.ncd.io/product/relay-controller-4-channel-general-purpose-...

Go to checkout and watch for the special instructions box.  Write in there "See Travis for custom programming prior to shipping, Static IP for relay board is: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX Static IP for push notification board is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX  Default gateway for network is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX Subnet mask for network is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX".  Be sure to fill in all relavent information in the XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX spots.  I can set that all up for you so it is ready to go right out of the box.
